How the Pool Hire Works

  • Choose the hire period (you can extend it later if needed) and select the dates using the calendar app

  • Select Pickup or Local Delivery (6112, 6111 and 6110 Only) at the checkout

  • Local Delivery: We'll contact you to arrange a drop off time

  • Pickup: We'll send an email with the pickup address when it's ready

  • RETURN: At the end of your hire period, return the pool to Mt Richon WA (we'll email you with the address).

When should I hire the Birth Pool?

We only have a few Birth Pools and would hate for you to miss out, so the sooner you place your order, the better.

Most women hire for 6 or 8 weeks in order to have a trial run for inflation. Some women also like to be organised and set up their birth space in advance of labour, so the preparation is done beforehand.

The ideal gestation period recommended is

  • 6 week hire: 36 - 42 weeks
  • 8 week hire: 34 - 42 weeks

Are your Pool kits guaranteed to be sterile when received?

Yes, definitely!

We take great pride in ensuring every Pool Kit is thoroughly checked, tested, cleaned and sterilised in between every client, so you can be assured it is in perfect condition for your birth.

Do you offer support to us during the hire period?

Yes, absolutely!

We fully understand the importance of having water at your birth and we want it to go as smoothly as possible for you. If you have any questions or problems at any time while you have your Pool, please pick up the phone and call us.

Sometimes things happen in a hurry and you might need some support in setting up the pool. I’m happy to talk this through over the phone and calm rattled nerves if necessary.

Firstly, read the instructions carefully as it will explain how to set it up, use it and pack it up as easily and efficiently as possible.

It’s a good idea to set it up before labour sets in, so you can take your time and get it right.

Do you offer postage on the Birth Pools?

No sorry!

The Birth Pool and accessories are very heavy and bulky so unfortunately postage isn’t an option.

We offer pickup from Mt Richon in Perth WA.

When you place your order you will be asked to enter the date that you would like to hire the Birth Pool - this is the date of collection. We'll be in contact a few days prior to arrange pickup/delivery of your order. 

Do I still need to pay for my Birth Pool if I didn’t end up using it?

Yes, unfortunately if your circumstances change or you didn’t use your Birth Pool we are unable to issue refunds once the machine has been dispatched. If it has not been dispatched via mail or collected from us then we can issue a full refund.
